Thank Goodness I Got Tagged

I have been thinking "What can I do with my blog to update it?" My life has been so ordinary lately that I was at a complete loss for what to post. Spencer suggested I do a blog about him, so the picture is in response to that, but the blog is not about him.
I haven't visited other people's blogs lately either. Not that my life has been so busy or anything interesting, I just didn't visit. So today I was catching up with the blogs I visit pretty regularly and imagine my surprise that Julia D "tagged" me. Now her blog is always well written and usually quite humorous--this post of hers was no exception. I can't compete with that, but I will do my best to answer the questions:

8 Favorite TV Shows: (This is hard because honestly I don't watch that many shows--lots of movies but not shows)

1. Survivor. (Yes, it's true and the really sad part, we watch it as a family. We get hooked every time. Gotta love reality TV).

2. Project Runway (Another show we watch as a family. We can't wait for the dispute between Lifetime and Bravo to end so the next episode starts)

3. The Big Break (Never heard of it? Well that's a surprise. I can't believe you aren't all avidly watching the Golf channel! This is a show I watch with Dennis because that's the kind of supportive wife I am. Actually it's an okay show. Reality TV again where people get eliminated each week based on how they do on some golf challenges)

4. The Big Bang Theory (This show about 4 nerds and the cute, okay sexy next door neighbor is quite funny)

5. Ellen Degeneres (I don't watch it that often. Spencer likes to record it and watch it at night so sometimes when he is watching it I get to see it. I think she is hilarious)

6. The Local News (Yes I know that makes me old. I don't watch it every night but like to catch it occasionally to see what's going on--nothing ever good!)

7. Jeopardy (Okay I'm aging by the minute!)

8. Spongebob Squarepants (It's funny. Actually there have been better cartoons in the past that I have liked but they don't run anymore--Rocko's Modern Life, Angry Beavers, Doug)

8 Things I Did Yesterday:

1. Got out of bed. That's always a good way to start the day. Okay this is honestly very difficult because I am drawing a complete blank about what I did yesterday, Tuesday. Getting old stinks!

2. Unplugged all the cords, USB ports, printers, scanner, etc from the computer just to see if it would work if it was the only thing plugged in. It didn't.

3. Went to work where two kids got suspended from school for arson, and one for pulling a knife. Now lest you think this is a typical day, it's not. I think it's just the pre-Spring Break excitement or something.

4. Attended Tucker's soccer game, in the rain, despite knowing that he most likely would not be playing since he was out sick all last week with pneumonia and only returned to practice on Monday. I was right, he sat on the sidelines, but the team had a 1-1 tie. Most importantly Tucker was glad I came to watch even though he didn't get to play.

5. Came home to find out Dennis had figured out what was wrong with the computer. Fried USB port which shut down the whole thing. Whew. Put a little electrical tape over that port and call it good.

6. Read to Cooper before bedtime from Harry Potter 6. We are working our way through them and just started #6.

7. Watched Grand Torino with Dennis & Tucker, which despite the violence and cursing is actually a surprisingly good movie.

8. Woke up at 2am (technically that would make it today) and couldn't get back to sleep! (Well, that was a good exercise because I honestly was completely blank when I first started!)

8 Things I am Looking Forward To:

1. Spring Break--although we have nothing planned as yet and Spencer thinks this is quite shameful.

2. Summer!--can't wait for school to get out and have the summer off.

3. Wildhorse--the family get together is always a blast. We didn't go last summer so we missed seeing alot of people. It will be fun to see everyone this summer.

4. River Rafting. Something we do every summer on the Salmon River with the Guidos and it is always a blast.

5. The return of the Roches' from South Africa. We miss them and can't wait until they are back!

6. Beach Camping. The annual Chandler family campout at Twin Harbors State park by Westport. Hopefully the Chandlers will be joined by the Roches' this year!!

7. Doing some of the things on my wish list.

8. Retirement

8 Favorite Restaurants:

1. Wild Ginger (excellent Asian cuisine)

2. PF Changs

3. Taco del Mar (we eat there way too often!)

4. Dick's Drive-In (gotta love those greasy, home-made fries!)

5. Palisades

6. Sam's Club (not for fine dining obviously, just for those nights you don't want to cook--can't beat that great dining atmosphere)

7. Subway

8. Ballard Brothers

8 Things on My Wish List (I have to go look, because I have forgotten)

1. For Victor Escalante to make a full recovery from his injuries.

2. A new sewing machine (dull but necessary)

3. A trip to Ireland/Wales/Scotland--the heck with the rest of the British Isles!

4. For my 3 boys all to serve missions (It's entirely up to them and I have no control so wishing is about all I can do)

5. To lose 20 pounds...okay I would settle for 15. Actually, right now I would settle for 5. I have been going regularly to the gym since the first of the year and haven't lost a pound!

6. Smile more frown less

7. Take a dance class with Dennis

8. Learn to quilt (although I don't think my hands and fingers could handle it for too long)

8 People I Tag

1. Celiac

2. Allie

3. Crazy lady

4. Amy Lee

5. Amy Jo

6. Kelsey

7. Actually that's everybody I know that follows my blog that I could tag. I know there are some of you out there that check it out but don't leave comments so I can't "tag" you. Oh very wise people.

8.

So now, you unlucky tagged people,

1) Post the rules on your blog

2) Answer the six '8' items

3) Let each person know by leaving them a comment. (Julia didn't comment on my blog that I could see)
