This is from our flowering plum tree in front of the house. We are getting close to my favorite time of the year. I love when all the flowers are in bloom, the deep pinks, reds, blues and purples. It kind of compensates for the gray, rainy days that lead up to the blossoming time (a little compensation). The flowering cherry trees on the UW campus are particularly lovely in the Spring. It is wonderful to walk through them on a warm, sunny day in the Spring. (Yes, we do get those in Seattle--more than moste people know. It's one of our big secrets!

what a great photo! No plum blossoms here yet. We have some straggly apricot blooms. It's been a hot/cold tradeoff so far this spring....
