Half a Century

Yes, I recently celebrated a milestone birthday!  That would be my 50th.  Amazing isn't it.  It is to me.  I got a 4 day celebration actually.  They decorated my desk at work.  The nifty 50 glasses were worn all day Friday as well as the groovy 50 badge I am sporting in the first picture which is from the fun party Dennis threw for me Saturday night at his parents' house.
This next picture is of me and Peg.  Peg is one of my BFF Scrabble buddies.  She and her husband came to the party.  So did my other BFF Scrabble buddy Michelle.  They are two awesome ladies that I am thankful to have as friends.  My friend Dana from work also came with her husband.  I am lucky to have some really great women as friends in my life.
Here are the nifty 50 glasses.  My sister-in-law Kacee gave me a bag full of anti-aging stuff.  It was pretty funny.  Most people who didn't really know me couldn't believe I was actually 50.  So I am not sure what I would do with the anti-aging stuff.  (Ha ha)  All of the Chandler clan came for my party as well as Dennis' uncle & aunt from California and his aunt from Bremerton.  It was a fun party
I got four bouquets of flowers that night.  They are all absolutely gorgeous as you can see below.  I also got a hanging plant which I will try really hard not go kill as I am a noted plant killer.  We had a family celebration on Sunday, my actual birthday (May 27).  I got treated with some awesome presents from Dennis and kids.
On Monday we were going to play golf, but the weather and slow play decided us against it.  Instead we went to see Salmon Fishing in Yemen at the dollar theater (sweet movie by the way).  Not a bad way to celebrate 50 years of life.  So how does it feel to be 1/2 a century old one might ask?  Not any different than it did the day before I was 50.

So, I assume you'll be wearing those glasses from now on so there won't be any confusion about just how old you are- though you don't look to be half a century :0)
Sounds like it was a grand celebration with lots of friends and family present. Your hair looks long and lovely (Chuck would approve).
Here's to another half century with many more adventures with friends and family.

I'm glad it was such a great celebration for you!
Wish my butt would have not minded the journey so I could be there.

You certainly don't look nifty fifty.
Love you !
